AFSCME has led the charge to protect working people from workplace injury, illness and death. Working with our members, we have won strong protections against hazards and stronger rights for workers. Through organizing and collective bargaining, Local 1101 has gained even stronger protections and rights that have given workers a real voice in the workplace.
AFSCME Local 1101 was established in 2021. We work for justice in the workplace, and advocate for prosperity and opportunity for all members. We believe that strong support is key to a strong middle class. We not only stand for fairness at the bargaining table — we fight for fairness for all at the ballot box and in the halls of government.
